Mobile Showers Ministry
Our homeless neighbors live in tents, shelters, personal vehicles, as well as the streets of uptown and the suburbs.
Our mission is to go where they are and provide the basic hygiene items and services they need. We want to acquire a mobile shower that can be towed to areas frequented by homeless individuals. They would be able to shower in secure privacy. We also want to provide them with new underwear, feminine hygiene items, and a variety of personal care items we so often take for granted.
We need your help! You can make a donation. 100% of what we receive goes back into the ministry for operating and stocking the mobile shower. We also need volunteers to help make this outreach a personal investment in the lives of homeless men, women and children.

MINISTRY UPDATE
We’ve been working hard over the last several months in our attempt to raise the rest of the money in order to up fit the shower trailer we purchased back in the spring!
GOOD NEWS. WONDERFUL NEWS. FANTASTIC NEWS.
The rest of the money came in this week in a single donation with this note; “My dad always had a heart for the homeless. He faithfully donated to the Water Street Mission / Emergency Shelter in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. We found we could continue that legacy with a generous donation to Showers To The People.”
Thank you ALL for your prayers and your support. Most of all, we thank God for his timely provisions!
So what’s next? We will take the funds to the trailer manufacturer, Davenport Trailers, for the necessary modifications. Steve Davenport says it will take about two months to complete the upfit which potentially means we can roll out the shower trailer on the streets in January! We can’t wait!

Showers to the People is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. We are reaching out to individuals, churches and businesses with a passion to serve our homeless community.

Once the showers are operational, our objective is to keep them equipped and supplied. We can then tow this two-stall mobile shower to areas of need in communities in and around Charlotte.
WE NEED YOUR HANDS
We’re looking for individuals who truly want to invest their time and energy in the lives of others less fortunate. In our case, it is a matter of welcoming individuals to a hot shower, providing towels, washcloths and basic hygiene items and a change of underwear.
We need volunteers to sanitize shower units between each use, to launder soiled towels and washcloths, and to restock the basics supplies. Other qualified volunteers will drive the truck that tows the trailer. Additional needs will call for volunteers in other areas as the ministry grows.
