It was another great day of ministry yesterday even though we had a significant technical issue delaying the start of opening the showers to our patrons. And there seemed to be a spirit of disruption with some of the people too – not uncommon and lessons learned. Nevertheless, we pressed through the challenges and ended serving 23 showers! We also passed out close to 100 bottles of water and 37 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches thanks be to God!
We ran out of water and sandwiches, so we are going to double up on supplies for our next serve days. Also, we are scheduling our shower serve days to the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month.
Folks, more than anything else we need and covert your prayers as we serve our patrons. And if the Lord leads, we need your financial support too as we have ongoing expenses. We still need clothing, especially shirts. And surprisingly we need shoes, but mostly socks.
