Showers to the People is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to serving our homeless community. We are reaching out to individuals, churches, businesses, and organizations who share our passion for helping our neighbors in need.

The Sleeping Bag Story

As we prepared to replenish supplies for our next Serve Day, we found an opportunity to provide something especially important during cold weather: zero-degree-rated sleeping bags.

Because we were already distributing blankets, toboggans, gloves, and jackets, we wanted to give our friends on the streets an additional layer of protection from the cold. We discovered that a $117 donation allows us to purchase 10 zero-degree-rated sleeping bags.

We shared a public appeal on Facebook, and thanks to the generosity of our supporters, 24 people received a zero-degree-rated sleeping bag.
