In the Old Testament Book of Ruth, the husband of Naomi is Elimelech, meaning ‘my God is King!’ Can I honestly say that this morning as we prepare to minister to our friends on the street with Showers To The People, Inc. ?
Do they see King Jesus alive in me and working among our team? What are the traits of one who claims, ‘my God is King?’ Galatians list them out for us; Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control.
Dear God, help us, help me to live out this claim, ‘my God is King’, King over the day, the year, King over my entire life in all that I say and do… that others may be drawn to our Savior, King Jesus! Amen
