We arrived on site of our mobile shower set up at 8AM on June 21, 2025, the same spot where this mobile shower vision was impressed upon us some twenty plus years ago. The same spot where we fed 125 people every Saturday morning come sunshine, rain, snow, sleet… didn’t matter.
And now we have returned ‘to the same people’… people who are in need. The discarded, the lost, the hopeless… And why are we doing this? Are we trying to restore their dignity? No! Are we trying to rack up points in heaven? No. Are we trying to create good material for social media? NO!
We are there for three purposes.
- This is what God has led us to do
- We are demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ in a very practical manner that is much needed
- Most importantly, share the Good News, that Jesus Christ loves them too and wants a personal relationship with them! Just like he wants for you and me so much so that he died for our sin trespasses that we may have fellowship with him for eternity!
There were so many unknowns on this first Saturday morning even though we had spent months planning. By the grace of God, everything went wonderfully! We were able to serve 22 patrons even though we had made no real effort to announce our arrival! A gallery of photos is displayed below.
Currently we are seeking help for taking care of haircuts and manicure needs. And we certainly need financial help too as there are ongoing needs for t-shirts, underwear, toiletries, propane, etc. Click to donate.
