We rolled out on the street this morning at 7am heading to our uptown location in CLT to setup for another Showers To The People, Inc. Serve Day. It was verrrry foggy and temps were in the upper 40’s – a little chilly but not unbearable at all. We weren’t sure of the number of volunteers that were going to show but The Lord provided seven volunteers total which really made things easier for set up and tear down!
We set up at our normal location at N Tryon under the I277 bridge which is one of the main arteries leading to the shelter. Many of our patrons do not like going to the shelter for various reasons therefore we provide an alternative which seems to please them.
Lots of good conversations today about life now and Eternal Life too – I pray those conversations take root for their sake to the Glory to God!
